After a week of flying open countryside and desert, today was a fabulous contrast. Flying from downtown Tulsa, Oklahoma, we took off with an early morning jet which gave us light winds on the ground but a zippy 25 knots at 500 feet. The direction took us to the north of the city over Yahola lake and ultimately after a hour of flying to Mohawk sports complex which was full of hundreds of people playing football* (*soccer(?)) in the warm early morning sunshine. Lovely to meet and fly with Ultramagic dealer Martin Phillpot this morning and we are grateful for his hospitality and help... It was nice to fly for an hour relaxed this morning - we already know we cannot make it to our next state tonight and the we have some questionable weather moving in so its all tactics the next few days..! watch this space!
