Meteor Crater, Arizona - Flight

16/02/2016 - 16:00 - Andrew Holly

Just landed from one of the most incredible flights I will ever do. We had permission to fly over the meteor crater launching and landing on the respective sides on the service roads. We had to hope for perfect weather and we had it! A short 20 minute flight - made longer as the winds at 7000 feet were virtually calm - we flew right over and in fact had to be at 7000 feet - nearly 2000 feet above the ground - in order to fit the crater into the picture! Absolutely amazing experience - now watching the Arizona sun setting whilst we pack away.... 9 states flown now and onto Lake Havasu for a second Arizona flight but one with good friends we are looking forward to and maybe some fun with a boat!!!
